| Description: |
Give your time to a child in need. Building Futures is a one-of-a-kind mentoring program offered through the YMCA. A volunteer is screened, provided invaluable training and finally, matched to a child. The children are boys and girls between the ages of 6-14 with identifiable needs.
Studies show that mentoring improves a child's self esteem and academic abilities while reducing truancy and negative behaviors.
If you like children and can spend 1-2 hours a week with a child, become a mentor!
If you would like more information please email or call us with your full name, mailing address and phone number and we will send you the information packet, incuding a volunteer application.
