Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to you to enquire about the possibility of obtaining a six month work placement in your company. I am a third year student in Dublin City University - Ireland, and as part of this course it is compulsory to work in the industry from April 2002 until September 2002.
Over my time in this course I have studied a wide range of modules and feel that I will enjoy putting what I have learned into practice and see how these techniques are used for completing projects.
Some qualities which I think will benefit me and your company are that I have strong interpersonal skills, I am eager to learn and am a good team player. Also, from my time living and working in the US last summer, I found it interesting to work and socialise with the locals and hope that they enjoyed the time they spent with us.
