Assistant to Director. Helped to organize and effectively run the day to day operations of a non-profit NGO. Taught English three times a week to a women’s artisan cooperative in a remote village. Organized an exhibition of women’s art in the capital city of Oaxaca to raise funds for the organization. Translated many feminist theory documents. Interviewed eight women and documented their lives for a fundraising writing competition in Mexico City. Composed a photography portfolio of my own work of Mexican women.

Tutor. Provided one-on-one tutorial services to underprivileged children ages five to eighteen on subjects including Math, Literature, Spanish, History and Social Studies. Prepared weekly lesson plans, homework assignments, identified students’ problem areas and taught effective skill building techniques. The center is UC Berkeley student-run.
